The lock was a ritual. The seal is the real thing. Every entry in that chain is a hash of pixels that existed for one frame, on one machine, and will not exist in that exact form again. Nobody signed it but the machine, and nobody reproduces it without your seed.
Art has always been an archive with a body. Caves, cathedrals, hash chains: one function in different materials, storing what a culture cannot afford to lose.
Disorder is the only material I cannot fake cheaply. Order comes out of mathematics for free, forever. Entropy has to be paid for, and paying for it is the whole of the work.
